NMB accepts copyright complaints and will review credible notices. This page is an operational copyright-reporting policy; it does not by itself mean that NMB has registered a U.S. DMCA designated agent.
If you believe material published or made available through TraceNaija infringes your copyright, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed promptly.
1. Reporting suspected infringement
Send a copyright complaint to TraceNaija.com.ng@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright Infringement Notice – NMB”.
2. Include enough information to identify the work
- Your full name and contact details.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- The exact URL or other location of the material on NMB.
- A statement explaining why you believe the use is unauthorised.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- Where appropriate, evidence that you own the copyright or are authorised to act for the copyright owner.
3. What NMB may do
We may review the complaint, contact the relevant contributor or rights holder, request additional information, restrict access to disputed material while a matter is investigated, correct attribution, or take other appropriate action. We do not guarantee removal solely because a notice is submitted.
4. Counter-notices and disputes
If you believe material was removed or restricted in error, you may contact us with the relevant facts and evidence. We may seek additional information before restoring material.
5. Designated-agent status
NMB does not publish a private residential address as a public DMCA contact. If NMB later elects to seek a formal U.S. Copyright Office designation, the required registration and public information will be handled separately. Copyright complaints may still be sent to the email above.
6. Good-faith reporting
Please submit copyright complaints only when you have a legitimate basis. False or materially misleading claims may cause harm and may have legal consequences.
