Pastor Jimmy Odukoya Introduces New Wife to Congregation, Confirms First Marriage Ended

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya has officially introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Jasyme, to members of The Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, confirming his remarriage following the end of his previous marriage to Oluwakemi Banjoko, popularly known as Kemi.

The senior pastor made the introduction during the church’s Sunday service on November 1, 2026, at the church headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State. The announcement came a day after he shared a photograph of two hands wearing wedding rings on social media with the caption, “To New Beginnings.”

During the service, Odukoya invited his wife to the altar and presented her to the congregation as Pastor Mrs Odukoya.

Explaining the development, he told worshippers that he had spent time navigating life alone after taking over the leadership of the church following his father’s death in 2023.

He referenced the biblical account of Adam finding a suitable companion before introducing Mo as his wife and the church’s new first lady.

“Some of you saw the post, some people said, is it artwork? No, it’s my wife. Allow me to introduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya,” he said.

Pastor Tunde Bakare blesses the marriage

The service also featured prayers for the couple from Pastor Tunde Bakare, the General Overseer of Citadel Global Community Church.

Jimmy and his new wife knelt before Bakare as he prayed for their marriage, asking for God’s blessing, peace and stability in their home.

What happened to Jimmy Odukoya’s first marriage?

Before marrying Mo, Jimmy Odukoya was married to Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko. The couple tied the knot in London in March 2013 and have two children together.

Reports following the new marriage announcement confirmed that the previous union had ended before Odukoya assumed leadership of The Fountain of Life Church in 2023. The circumstances surrounding their separation have not been publicly established, and no cause should be assumed.
